Roadworks are underway on the RD2020, located south of Orléans, specifically at the exit leading to the Larry neighborhood in Olivet. These operations began in mid-April 2026 and are expected to continue in the coming months.

Traffic has been affected by these works since June 1, 2026. Both directions of the RD2020, a major thoroughfare, have been reduced to a single lane each. This measure was put in place to facilitate the construction of a junction.

Matthieu Schlesinger, mayor of Olivet and first vice-president of Orléans métropole, specified that traffic will remain in this configuration until the end of the developments. He also indicated that there will be no alternating traffic, even during the road resurfacing phases.

In addition to the junction, the project includes the construction of a section of cycle path. This new infrastructure will be located along the road, on the side of the Aulnaies neighborhood. These works aim for better overall traffic flow and an improvement in active mobility on this route.
